EXETER’S EXCLUDED “RACIST” WHATSAPP LAW STUDENTS -ADVISED TO SUE UNIVERSITY

EXETER’S EXCLUDED “RACIST” WHATSAPP LAW STUDENTS -ADVISED TO SUE UNIVERSITY

The English Lobby, which is a “Not for Profit” Company is offering legal assistance to anyone subjected to anti-English discrimination is now advising all those students who were excluded from Exeter University recently to sue the University for breach of privacy and data law and illegal discrimination.  Here is a link to the article >>>https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/exeter-university-racist-whatsapp-messages_uk_5ae95cb4e4b06748dc8d9259?ncid=webmail

It was reported that Exeter University had excluded a significant number of students who were reported to be writing “racist” comments on a private WhatsApp group.  The University are not entitled to discriminate on the grounds of political views privately expressed and it is illegal for them to do so.  It is an illegal invasion of privacy involved in the University looking at a private WhatsApp group where no actual criminal offence has been committed.  The use of the data is not only illegal under the Data Protection Act, but may even amount to the commission of a criminal offence by the University.

Furthermore discriminating against students expressing privately a point of view, whether the University’s paid staff agree with those views or disagree with them, is a clear breach of the Equality Act’s protection against discrimination for a “system of philosophical belief” and may also be a breach of the contract for tuition between the students and the University.

Last, but not least, to apply rules or sanctions against individuals differently, as against various ethnic, racial or national groups or applying such in such a way that the different groups have different outcomes, is racial discrimination within the meaning of the Equality Act.

In these circumstances the excluded Exeter students have a plethora of legal remedies against Exeter University which the English Lobby advises them to exercise.   If the outcome of Exeter’s action is the entire loss of a student’s career, then the damages will not only be unlimited but potentially huge.

Alan England, Director of the English Lobby and born and bred in Exeter himself said:-  “I strongly recommend any students who have been excluded by Exeter University as a result of the University’s illegally delving into their private WhatsApp chat group to sue the University.”

Alan continued:- “The damages that these students together can obtain may well run into millions of pounds since the University’s actions may lead to the loss of an entire career in the law.  I would hope these young English lawyers would want to take this case, not only for compensation, but also to deliver a punishing lesson to Exeter University’s political correct “authorities” who have no right to behave, here in England, as if they were Soviet Political Commissars.”
